Account Manager

THE ROLE: This new Account Manager position has come about as a result of growth within our client's organisation. The Account Manager will be driving new business (50%) across the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire regions with contractors at all levels offering a range of tool & plant hire services specifically for the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades. The Account Manager will be based in the field but will often come to the branch network they are supporting in order to support with lead generation, fulfilling orders, and introducing new contractors to equipment on site. When the Account Manager is up and running, the role will become more account management and you will be tasked with growing your account base year on year. The Account Manager position will suit someone who has a track record in construction industry field sales, preferably from the hire sector, who is eager to have a long-career with a business who looks after their people and trains well.

They are a business who have major support infrastructures, invest in their own equipment, and are always opening new branches in new regions to further enhance their hold on the market. They have great longevity in their sales team and can build careers for anyone who works hard and wants it.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • A field sales track record in the tool or plant-hire industry is preferable
  • Come from a construction sales background
  • Someone who understands plumbing, heating, mechanical, and electrical contractor route to market
  • Ability to manage a pipeline of accounts and grow them
  • A consultative, driven and professional salesperson with good attention to detail
  • Understanding of CRM systems, sales pipeline, and field sales planning

Salary: £45,000 basic salary, plus £10k-12k annual bonus, company car, mobile, laptop, 22 days holiday (rises by 1 per year to max 25), life assurance x3 salary, pension scheme
