The Association of Professional Sales (APS) and sales performance specialists, BMS Performance, are delighted to announce a new partnership to promote professional development and raise standards across the sales industry.

The link-up expands the reach of the APS and recognises the quality of BMS Performance to help develop the skills and knowledge of aspiring salespeople. Our new relationship will assist BMS in delivering sales apprenticeships and sales qualifications which will be independently verified by the Association of Professional Sales.

As a professional, not-for-profit organisation, the APS aims to raise standards for both current and future members of the sales profession and the alliance with BMS Performance fits this mission perfectly. The APS offers insight, thought-leadership and a large and growing network of sales professionals. BMS provides the path to a skilled sales profession through graduate recruitment, training, apprenticeships, continuing professional development and sales qualifications – delivering the key skills every salesperson needs to succeed in today’s economy.

David Bill, BMS Performance Director, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Association of Professional Sales. To have an industry body representing the needs of the sales profession, and the overall standards of the industry, is a big step forward. Their commitment to the sector and the work undertaken to achieve a professional and ethical standard for selling has been superb. Their qualification adds value to individuals, employers and the overall economy.

We are committed to jointly improving the standards of sales professionals by providing best-in-class training and delivering the Sales Executive Apprenticeship Standard which allows employers to make the most of their apprenticeship levy.

As a provider of talent management solutions, BMS Performance has been helping businesses improve the performance of their sales teams for almost 30 years, so we know what success looks like. Our long-term vision is the development of the wider sales profession with training programmes endorsed by accreditation, with the APS quality mark recognised across the industry.”

Andy Hough, APS Co-CEO, said: “The APS is delighted to be working with BMS to expand the options available for sellers who want to develop their skills, knowledge and professional accreditation.

The impressive growth of BMS Performance is testament to the quality of its output and expertise. BMS will also be promoting the importance of APS membership and working with the Association of Professional Sales in our campaign to achieve a chartered body for the sales profession.

Our investment in the future of the sales industry shows we are an organisation which is focused on change for good and our link-up with BMS is another example of how we are widening the skills, development and accreditation opportunities for professional salespeople.

This is all part of our campaign to make sales a destination profession with modern, mobile salespeople who have the skills and knowledge to match.”
