THE HYBRID SALES EXECUTIVE

Post Covid-19 a new selling environment was created. Less physical meetings, Covid Secure workplace guidelines and an increase in desk / home based selling activities. Therefore, a dramatic change in the traditional skill set of salespeople is required. This Hybrid Sales Development Programme is designed to equip individuals and teams with the knowledge, skills, and behaviours to operate effectively in our new environment.

With business’ laying out strict Covid Secure workplace guidelines, unscheduled F2F meetings will be difficult to obtain. The hybrid sales executive will therefore need to adapt and develop the skills and mindset of an inside desk-based seller with high telephone activity on top of a field-based salesperson with territory management and rapport building skills.

New Business/Account Mngt

Where traditional sales roles would be predominantly focused on one of the above, the hybrid salesperson will require both the skills to maintain existing client relationships and offer consultative solutions post Covid, as well as the proactive skills and mindset required to seek new business.

Social/Phone/Virtual/F2F

While the job activity and role objectives of a sales executive have changed, the sales process has not, only the route to a sale is different. The four circles of skills shown above highlight the key skills needed along this route. This course develops each aspect of the new route to sale to help the hybrid sales executive thrive in this new environment.
