INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURER: Employing over 2,000 staff worldwide, and with manufacturing facilities dotted across the APAC region, our clients are one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of Industrial sensors. With an office in Melbourne, the company are currently seeking to expand their VIC sales team.

THE ROLE: Working within the manufacturing sector the successful candidate will be expected to manage a range of existing client accounts but will be expected to drive new business also. You will be selling our clients range of industrial automation components (sensors, switches, safety components etc.). Selling into food and beverage manufactures companies from some of the larger national companies through to the smaller players in the market. The sales engineer will deal on a daily basis with purchasing managers, maintenance managers and engineering managers.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Most important thing: Electrical background – degree or diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • If you are working as an electrician and want to explore a career in sales we would like to hear from you as well.
  • The ideal candidate will have cut their teeth in a sales engineering type role for 2-5 year and are now on the market for the next step.
  • Having sold a range of industrial automation and/or electrical products (i.e., sensors, instrumentation, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatic).
  • Candidates with experience selling any technical products into food and beverage, industrial manufacturers, mining and/or oil and gas companies would also be considered.

You will be rewarded with a highly competitive package which includes a base salary of up to $110k, super, car allowance, mobile phone, Laptop, and a bonus package.
