The Company: Our client is a global business who are in high growth mode and looking to build their business development team in Sydney. 
 
You will be selling a range of Cloud Collaboration tools ranging from virtual events, webcasting, virtual meeting &, calling technology to name a few.

The Role: This is an excellent opportunity to refine and develop your sales skills, as a BDR you will be supported and mentored by an experienced and dynamic leadership team. 
 
This is a crucial role in the sales team where you will be responsible for generating pipeline for new business opportunities. You will be identifying leads and business insights across multiple industry sectors including IT, Media, Professional Services, B2B etc. 
 
A typical day will involve: 
 

  • Proactively calling/canvassing potential clients, cold calling, following up on leads, enquiries etc 
  • Running a discovery call to understand key decision makers business goals, strategy, budget and timescales 
  • Actively sell the services and schedule meetings for the Account Exec team to close 
  • This is a high activity role where you will be measured on calls and appointments booked for your AE 
  • Working collaboratively with the client, internal departments to deliver exceptional customer experience with every project. 

 
 
The Candidate: The ideal applicant will have 6-12 months phone-based sales experience, ideally you will have had some experience in a B2B environment selling SaaS, Data, Analytics or business information solutions, however ultimately what my client is looking for is someone who has a structured sales process and can sell a solution, they’re also open to considering candidates who come from a B2C phone sales environment (Eg Insurance, Telco etc). 
 
Our client would also entertain recent graduates who have a strong desire to move into a B2B sales environment. 
 
It is essential that you’re an excellent communicator both written and verbal.
