A global FMCG business is looking to recruit a dynamic, hungry Territory Manager to sell their portfolio of products across the Independent Retail Market.

Our client has some great brands within their range and have seen year on year growth in the market in the last 5 years. An opportunity has arisen to join their VIC team to cover customers in Western Melbourne starting from Taylors Hill.

The Role:

As a Territory Manager it is your duty to manage and facilitate the growth of your territory which will include range reviews, product activations, promotions and merchandising along with new product launches to increase sales and in turn increase the distribution.

With daily customer visits, the role involves building relationships and communicating with business owners and store staff and managers of all levels.

You have an excellent portfolio of products backing you and your ability to build value with your store owners is paramount.

This position focuses on managing relationships within the Independent channel.

This is a field sales position and requires territory managers to perform approximately 10-20 face to face meetings per week and to work on a 2 to 4 week call cycle.

The Candidate:

Previous territory management or account management experience is desirable from the FMCG market. Having sold products such as Food, Wine, Liquor, Beverages, Confectionery and Non Food Products will mean you have the necessary skill set to sell multiple SKU’s and manage high volumes.

Previous experience of selling to the Independent market will mean you have the experience of working with small business owners and managers and have the ability to adapt to each individual situation.

You will need to have a stable track record of achieving targets and be able to talk through previous performance throughout your career. Our client has an easy going culture that requires autonomous, driven sales people who will roll up their sleeves and get the job done!
