The Company: Our client was established over 80 years ago and is a well-established, market-leading company. The business specialises in specialist capital equipment and machinery for a variety of industries. Our client is now looking for a new Area Sales Manager to further increase their exposure in the Republic of Ireland.
The Role: As an Area Sales Manager you will be tasked with a mix of generating new business and managing existing accounts for our client. Based in the field, the successful candidate will be targeting a variety of public and private end-users via the distribution network – selling to medical/pharmaceutical sectors, warehouses, manufacturing facilities etc. All sales will be pushed back and sold through the distributors.
You will be the expert representing specialist capital equipment and associated consumables. As part of your sales process, you will be conducting demonstrations and showcasing products. You must use your initiative to generate new market openings and some leads will be passed through the internal database.
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
Previous experience selling capital equipment or high-value items is essential
Experience selling to the pharma/medical/manufacturing industries is desirable
Distributor and end-user management
Demonstration-led sales highly desirable
Outgoing, dynamic and confident personality with a consultative sales approach
