THE COMPANY: With over 60 years of manufacturing excellence behind them, this global market leader is now recruiting an additional Sales Engineer as they grow their team. They are a global manufacturer of specialist lighting solutions and their products are found on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, and education projects around the world. There is huge scope to sell their solutions and they are renowned for their quality products and exceptional customer service. They have a multi-million turnover and operate on a global scale.
THE ROLE: Reporting directly to the sales manager for Ireland, you will join a small team of sales engineers and technicians. With an already established book of business both locally and globally, you will be responsible for developing sales across all clients in the 32 counties. You will spend your time in front of Architects, Engineers, Local Authorities, and End Users within commercial, health, and education spaces specifying an amazing range of lighting solutions such as . This is a new project-based position where you will be tasked with winning specs, writing them up, and following through to completion with the Contractors & End Users.
This role will likely see you work from home and out on the road the rest of the week. You will also have their south Dublin offices to use.
THE PERSON:
- Have an appreciation of the specification sales process in construction
- Have sold to specifiers or Main-Contractors
- Have sold an electrical or mechanical product
- Ability to manage a pipeline of projects and long sales cycle
- A consultative, driven and professional salesperson with good attention to detail
- Understanding of commercial projects in construction sector, or lighting experience, desirable but not essential
THE PACKAGE:
Basic Salary: €60,000 - €85,000
