The Company:

In 2015, the CEO of the business decided to take it upon himself to disrupt an industry and mind-set that has stood still for too long. This is a mission-driven business with a true directive to help people. Since they started, they have secured funding from both public sector and private sector. This year, they have secured their next round of funding (SeriesA) after a strong entry to market.

They are 20 people, growing to 30 in the next 12 months. Part of that growth is a first marketing hire. This role is a crucial part of their plans and they are wanting to find a commercially focused, innovative, and disruptive marketer to help them penetrate the UK marketplace.

Mid-long term this role will support in the diversification of market sectors and taking the product to international markets. This is a great opportunity for someone to get into the business and own the marketing/commercial strategy.

The Role of Senior Marketing Manager:

This role is an excellent opportunity for a strong commercial B2B marketer who wants to take full ownership of a business marketing strategy. This is the first marketing hire for the business and thus will be a diverse role, covering strategy and tactical execution of campaigns. This role reports into the CEO and Sales Director and will be responsible for utilising growth marketing tactics to generate sales qualified leads.

As the business scales and adds additional resource the role will take responsibility for looking at diversifying the industry sectors that the company sell in to and taking the business international.

The business wants to give autonomy to the incoming Senior Marketing Manager, allowing for a test and learn environment where innovative, disruptive thinking is at the fore. You will run integrated campaigns to support 3-6-month lead times, and six figure deal sizes – website, email, social media, digital (paid social, google ads, retargeting, programmatic), PR and content. Where needed, the successful candidate will be able to outsource some of the specialist skills needed.

Core objectives of the role will include: Revenue/Deals attributed to marketing activity, MQL’s/SQL’s, overall pipeline, and brand awareness.

Responsibilities for the position of Senior Marketing Manager

  • Develop the company marketing strategy
  • Persona development
  • Create, execute, and analyse B2B marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Performance marketing – PPC, Programmatic, Paid Social
  • Utilising marketing automation to nurture leads
  • Generating highly qualified leads for the sales team
  • Reporting on annual and quarterly targets to ensure marketing activities consistently drive commercial revenue
  • Running end to end process from inception to analytics and ROI
  • Grow the sales pipeline with qualified leads and identify new opportunities
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders – sales, product, and BD teams, to support overall business objectives

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • 5-8 years within B2B growth marketing or customer acquisition role
  • Experience working for a start-up or high growth business
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding ROI across all channels
  • Strong and up to date knowledge of digital marketing channels and best practice
  • Worked in a data and metrics driven environment

The Package for Senior Marketing Manager:

  • Salary: £50,000 – £65,000
