Sales Director (UK) – Packaging (Food and Beverage)

Candidate Location: Yorkshire, Greater Manchester

Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 base salary with a £96,000 – £109,000 on target earning potential

The Role: Representing a reputable packaging supplier, this Sales Director position is available due to an internal promotion, the new Sales Director will be responsible for managing a team of sales people which are both field and internally based. Your business unit will be selling solutions into food and beverage manufacturers across the UK. Your field sales team are split across the UK and your local office will be in Yorkshire. You will spend 1-2 days a week in the office and the rest of the time on the road with your sales people supporting them with renewing, retaining and securing new business wins. Your team will be responsible for multimillion pound contracts spanning a minimum 2 years and there will be occasions that you will be expected to tender for business. Your focus as a Sales Director will be to look at how to enhance regional sales, increase volume, identify new markets, analyse pricing, margins, profit and market share across all categories etc.

To be successful you must have a passion for the packaging industry or have sold into the food and beverage manufacturers along with remote sales management experience.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Remote sales management experience
  • Packaging sales experience – open to difference types of packaging
  • Sold into food and beverage manufacturers
  • Driving licence
