Regional Sales Manager

The Role: What an opportunity for someone who has an appreciation & understanding of power transmission products to work for a major manufacturer, work within a dynamic team, and to work closely with OEM customers across the South of the UK. We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to take on the 'South' which covers everything below Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, and Northants, including South Wales & Norfolk. Our client are a global manufacturer of industrial gearboxes, electric motors, and inverters with an instantly recognisable name in the market - however, this role will see the Regional Sales Manager educate their customer base on their new solution offerings, their evolved customer experience, and their brilliant product portfolio.

The Regional Sales Manager will spend their first year in the role predominantly in front of an existing client base of OE customers in the region. Outside of this, 20-30% of the Regional Sales Manager's time will be business development activity within dormant accounts or brand-new organisations.

The sales cycle with this role can be varied with the very nature of selling to OEM customers - predominantly Design Engineer led, the Regional Sales Manager will be dealing with all levels from production, engineering, and procurement on a daily basis. Working remotely, the Regional Sales Manager will have the autonomy to run the territory autonomously utilising time on the road in front of customers with home-based video and phone based activities. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who is looking for a step-up to work for a manufacturer or has been in an inside sales role previously selling power transmission products.

The Company: The client we are representing are a global name within the power transmission world. They have been going through a transition period within their Industrial Division which has led to new sales people (both internal and external), Supply Chain professionals, and recently a new National Sales Manager joining the business to give them a new direction, a fantastic sales strategy, and the backing to deliver. Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary DOE + £5k bonus + fully expensed company car + 25 days holiday + pension scheme + Healthcare cash plan scheme
