The Role:

The Performance Marketing Manager will report to the Country MD and be responsible for scaling the UK Marketing function. Key success factors are:

  1. Improve conversion rate optimisation
  2. Decrease cost per acquisition
  3. Optimising user journey
  4. Scale commercial revenue of direct-to-consumer business in the UK

The company have an existing marketing team based in Russia, but that team will have limited marketing input to the UK and later European markets. This role will however work closely with Product/Tech/Dev teams to support website changes and product direction based on consumer activity.

This role is a senior position within the organisation but needs someone to be both strategic in their approach as well as having the ability and desire to get their hands dirty in the day-to-day tactics. This role will not use agencies for performance marketing support and will require the successful candidate to use all paid channels themselves.

This role therefore requires an expert knowledge of performance marketing channels including the google suite (Google AdWords, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics). You will know how to increase conversion rate through great ads and you will enjoy testing content on landing pages.

As well as the performance marketing tactics, this role will also get involved with wider marketing campaign strategy for the UK market. They are currently only using paid media channels in the UK, so there is huge scope to diversify which marketing channels are being used.

The successful candidate will be a commercially savvy marketer with creative flair, but who first and foremost has a data-driven, analytical style of marketing. Responsibilities for the position of Performance Marketing Manager:

  • Owning the UK marketing strategy for the direct-to-consumer business
  • Auditing the existing marketing activity
  • Creating a marketing strategy to increase the volume of traffic to site, improve stickiness and conversion rate of traffic
  • Working with and learning from the Russian marketing team
  • Analysing campaigns and spend and decrease cost per acquisition
  • Running A/B Testis of landing pages and website content to improve results
  • Taking ownership of the UK Google Ads strategy and supporting field marketing teams
  • Driving traffic to the website by executing the digital marketing strategy (SEO, PPC, Paid Media, Display, social media and email automation)
  • Analysing the website traffic and improving UX and customer journey onsite – google analytics

To be considered for the role of Performance Marketing Manager you must have:

  • B2C/D2C digital marketing experience
  • Have worked in a stand-alone or small marketing function and helped scale businesses through innovative performance marketing tactics
  • A desire to lead and grow a marketing function
  • UK market experience, ideally with European market experience too
  • Desirable to have Russian language skills too
  • A desire to succeed and build something from scratch and the ability to go ‘above and beyond’ to achieve your goals

The company have been around for a few years now but following recent investment from a big pharmaceutical business, with a passion for ‘at home testing’ products they are in fast scale mode.

They now have 60 employees across the world with 35 of those people being employed in the last 6 months. The latest round of funding is to drive growth of the commercial teams (sales and marketing).

They are continually testing and trialling new ways of working to challenge the existing structure and marketplace. They are innovative and want people who aspire to exceed their personal expectations

The Package for Performance Marketing Manager:

  • Salary: £60,000-£70,000
