As the Sedex Marketing Manager (Acquisition), you will be responsible for marketing activity globally, so you will need to tailor the marketing activities to meet the needs of a global audience. This is a role that will require a real mix of strategic planning, team management, prospect mapping and hands on campaign delivery.

The role: Reporting to the Head of Marketing, we are looking for an experienced, energetic and entrepreneurial Marketing Manager to lead on and deliver a marketing strategy that will focus on driving new business initiatives. This is a critical role to ensure Sedex’s continued growth as you find innovative ways to generate a pipeline of marketing qualified leads as well as supporting the Business Development team on lead nurturing and conversion.

As the Sedex Marketing Manager (Acquisition), you will be responsible for marketing activity globally, so you will need to tailor the marketing activities to meet the needs of a global audience. This is a role that will require a real mix of strategic planning, team management, prospect mapping and hands on campaign delivery.

You’ll be part of the Commercial marketing team based in our London HQ office, but you’ll be working closely with many departments in the company including Business Development, Partnerships, Community, Responsible Sourcing and Training, as well as the teams in our regional offices including Shanghai, Santiago and Sydney.

Key Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:

With this position there is scope to take ownership, shape the role and grow your own skill set. The role will include:

  • Define, own and deliver the strategy for generating new business through marketing lead generation activities and lead nurturing campaigns
  • Develop a data strategy to reach new audiences through partnerships, data purchase, social and search
  • Manage, motivate and support two direct reports, to ensure delivery of a demanding schedule of projects. Lead by example within the Marketing team
  • Champion the Sedex brand, ensuring all communications are delivered to a high standard and increase the credibility and reputation of Sedex.

Requirements for the Marketing Manager role:

 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ marketing experience including lead generation activity and people management
  • A clear understanding of marketing channels, with a focus on digital, including email automation and SEO
  • Self-motivated and target driven with the ability to independently drive results
  • Strong teamwork and influencing skills; the ability to collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders and departments to achieve objectives
  • An analytical and strategic mindset – always looking for ways to learn and improve
  • Numerically skilled and commercially aware to conduct analysis of data and deriving insights, including working knowledge of Google Analytics and tracking
  • Interest to work within the responsible sourcing and ethics sector

Package:

£50-55,000 basic salary plus 12% bonus and benefits
