The Role of Marketing Manager:

The Marketing Manager position reports directly to the Marketing Director, sitting in a wider team of 15 marketers. The role has complete responsibility for creating and executing innovative direct marketing plans for their business intelligence subscription products. The Marketing Manager will be managing and delivering promotional schedules, optimising all marketing channels, and generating revenue growth and leads for the sales team. There is a heavy focus on lead generation and lead nurture so the successful candidate will need to have experience of working closely with a B2B sales team, generating qualified leads and helping business revenue.

Responsibilities for the position of Marketing Manager include:

  • Working with the Marketing Director to establish key KPI’s and targets
  • Planning and executing the lead generation campaign strategy
  • Working closely with the subscription sales team to generate qualified marketing leads
  • Working with editorial teams to create and curate short-form content to be used in campaigns
  • Amplifying content to specialist audiences through integrated marketing campaigns (email, social media, website and print)
  • Utilising the latest marketing technology stack to nurture leads in automation platforms
  • Running email marketing, social media, direct mail and PPC campaigns
  • Ad-hoc tasks to support the wider marketing team – data (excel)
  • Building relationships with internal teams (sales, marketing) and external agencies

To be considered for the role of Marketing Manager you must have:

  • Experience working in a B2B commercial marketing role
  • Generated marketing qualified leads for sales functions
  • An ability to liaise with different stakeholder – editorial, marketing, sales and ops
  • Ran email marketing campaigns from data segmentation to writing copy to analysis
  • Worked on a broad range of marketing channels – email, social, website, offline, DM, PPC
  • A positive attitude who is results driven and keen to develop
  • An ability to build relationships across all levels (peers, management)
  • A degree in marketing

The Package for Marketing Manager:

  • Salary: £28,000-32,000 + 10% bonus + benefits (including pension, healthcare, and gym)
