The Role: The Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Events, will take full ownership for driving delegate attendance at a world-class B2B events organisation. The business has invested in leading marketing technology (Marketo and Salesforce) to support the overall marketing strategy. The Marketing Manager will sit in a team of 10 and will have total ownership of this portfolio of events from creating the marketing strategy to tactical execution of the campaigns. The candidate will use a range of marketing channels including email marketing, website, social and PPC. The Marketing Manager will also attend events and liaise with sponsors and speakers to form long-lasting media partnerships. The successful Marketing Manager will be an analytical, inquisitive and data-driven marketer with experience of working in a B2B events environment. Responsibilities for the position of Marketing Manager will include:

  • Creating strategy to support business goals of increasing visitor/delegate signups
  • Supporting sponsorship revenue through lead generation marketing
  • Targeting the C-suite executives at Fortune 500 companies
  • Tactically executing marketing campaigns
  • Supporting the diversification of using a more rounded digital marketing approach – PPC/SEO, social media (paid and organic)
  • Utilising marketing technology (Eloqua and Oracle) to support inbound marketing
  • Using analytical tools (including google analytics) to create reports on campaign successes

To be considered for the role of Marketing Manager you must have:

  • B2B events or conference marketing experience
  • Experience of working with marketing automation tools
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for commercial, with digital marketing experience/knowledge – email, social, PPC
  • An excellent command of Google analytics and Microsoft Excel

The Package for Marketing Manager:

  • Salary: £28,000-35,000 + excellent benefits (including pension, healthcare)
