The Role:

As Head of Marketing (10-12 Month FTC), you will work closely with the Managing Director and lead the 4 person marketing team in planning and executing all consumer and trade marketing activities, developing & implementing category marketing and pricing strategies. A key component of this role will be the ability to understand target audiences, understand your market and what messaging and approach work best for each audience

The Role:

As Head of Marketing (10-12 Month FTC), you will work closely with the Managing Director and lead the 4 person marketing team in planning and executing all consumer and trade marketing activities, developing & implementing category marketing and pricing strategies. A key component of this role will be the ability to understand target audiences, understand your market and what messaging and approach work best for each audience

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop & implement category marketing strategy in line with company objectives.
  • Recommendation of pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Managing the Marketing Team, in line with any developmental or training needs.
  • Ensuring effective branded, marketing communications including digital, social media, print and TV.
  • Briefing exhibition displays for all trade shows, including planning & implementation.
  • Manage the PR agency relationship.
  • Help to prepare pitch/proposals to secure new UK licences or distribution agreements.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing campaigns and market trends.
  • Use of sales forecasts and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products.
  • Budget planning and monitoring.
  • Exploring innovative marketing methods.
  • Identify POS needs, develop briefs for POS, promotions and PR activities to maximise sales performance.
  • Briefing external agencies on media and advertising production requirements.

Requirements for the position of Head of Marketing (10-12 Month FTC) include:

  • Strong consumer product marketing experience (Ideally with some experience of the toy / leisure industry)
  • Knowledge of product management in a consumer goods industry
  • Unparalleled excellent people manager.
  • Team player and happy to fit into a close-knit Marketing Team.
  • Commercial, well organised, positive outlook, enthusiastic, tenacious, flexible, adaptable.
  • UK Driving Licence

The Package for Head of Marketing (10-12 Month FTC):

  • Salary: £55k-£66k
  • Other benefits include: pension, private healthcare, annual bonus (personal and business performance related), 23 days holiday (+ Christmas and Bank holidays off), 1pm finish on Fridays
