The Company: You will be joining a market leading business with a turnover in excess of €2B. They are a hugely profitable business with a zero landfill and carbon positive business model that provides sustainable packaging solutions to a diverse range of industries. They have a strong hold within the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. Providing a high level of customer service is crucial to their market leading status within the industry.

For this commercial graduate programme who are we looking for?

  • You have graduated from university within the last 2 years with a degree in maths/economics/physics or similar
  • You will have a strong desire to join an international business within a sales position
  • You have somewhere between 0-2 years of experience working whilst studying or post university
  • You are coachable: You are not expected to start with all the answers. You will be trained and put in a position to succeed. We just need you to be open to trying new (and potentially uncomfortable at first) things and you will be taught along the way.
  • You have passion/grit: You have the grit and stamina to continue when the going gets tough and you face rejection. You understand that your work is helping your customers solve problems and this is something you are passionate about.
  • You have an abundance of natural curiosity: Always asking why or perhaps slightly more in depth enquiries. Either way, you are an intellectually curious life-long learner who looks to continuously self improve.
  • You are a compassionate competitor: You want to win, but not at the expense of your team. There may be no “I” in “team”, but you understand that your individual performance is important, and you will compete to be a top contributor to the overall team’s success.

The graduate programme package you will receive is:

What you will do:

First 6 months

  • Learn a lot!
  • Work with other internal teams and get a lot of exposure to these teams
  • Assist both the sales and design teams
  • Help with sales proposals and bids
  • Work alongside more senior sales colleagues and learn as you watch!
  • Get a more gentle introduction into the B2B sales environment

Next 6-12 months

  • Rotate around to different areas of the business
  • Take on more responsibility
  • Get exposure to the field sales and account management teams
  • Continue your training and development
  • Visit manufacturing plants

Role Summary: You will join the 2 year commercial graduate programme which will see you rotate through several positions within the business with the opportunity to join their sales team at the end of the process. Initially you will be based in their office learning sales from the ground level up. You will then rotate through many other divisions with a view on being out on the road as a fully-fledged Business Development Manager. Of course, comprehensive training will be provided. This includes time spent at the manufacturing plants, internal and external sales training through their sales academy and strong mentoring along the way.
