The Role of Category Manager

As the Category Manager for this thrill-seeking, sports passionate, growing company you will manage the full category life cycle. Market analysis, range review and planning, NPI, supplier management/negotiation, sourcing, and pricing.

  • SKU management; including regular reviews of product performance
  • Ownership of category range proposition
  • Identifying market opportunities for future products – competitor and market research
  • Insights and actionable recommendations
  • Develop/ lead relationships with category partner suppliers
  • Spend analysis / regular supplier appraisals
  • Sourcing – Far east
  • margin analysis / Pricing

For the Category Manager, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

You must have previous experience in managing a category of tangible products such as aftercare products or accessories. You will have purchasing and preferably sourcing from far east background with excellent Excel, negotiation, and an eye for detail. Most importantly you will have a passion for cycling either from a competitive or leisure aspect. This knowledge will be invaluable to your credibility when dealing with customers, specialist suppliers.
