As Business Development Manager you will be selling B2B insurance products to SME clients across Scotland. This is a new business focused role selling to end users in a wide variety of markets. Leads will be self-generated through your own network as well as being gained through referrals from Business Managers within leading brand partner Banks and also working with brokers and introducers who will initiate contact with their clients. A true solution based sell you will need to adopt a credible, consultative approach.

Scotland – mainly Glasgow and Edinburgh

Business Insurance & Financial Services

40-45k basic + car + commission (75k OTE in 1st year and 100k+ in 2nd year)

The Role: As Business Development Manager you will be selling B2B insurance products to SME clients across Scotland. This is a new business focused role selling to end users in a wide variety of markets. Leads will be self generated through your own network as well as being gained through referrals from Business Managers within leading brand partner Banks and also working with brokers and introducers who will initiate contact with their clients. A true solution based sell you will need to adopt a credible, consultative approach.

Key responsibilities:

* To represent the business in a professional & ethical manner.

* Generate new business in line with targets.

* Develop business relationships with existing & new brokers, introducers & bank partners.

* Manage & convert new business leads provided by Market Management

* Generate own leads by self -prospecting and managing a local CRM database.

* Provide feedback on the leads generated by Market Management.

* To provide accurate management information on a regular basis.

You: we’re looking for an established sales executive / BDM with a hunter mentality and a proven track record in a consultative sales role. You’ll be working remotely so will need to be highly organised and able to work from home. Strong relationship management skills are required to nurture relationships with leading banks and brokers to generate new business leads. A background selling professional services / solutions is preferred but not essential.
