The Role:

As a Strategic Business Development Manager your focus will primarily be on acquisition of new clients from SME through to Corporates. You will be given support from a marketing and lead generation perspective from head office, however you need to be adept at networking and generating business from scratch to ensure you are building the NSW business.

To succeed in this role it is imperative that you are able to sell a service or solution rather than a product. This role comes with a large network of services, therefore the ability to ascertain a clients needs and requirements and tailor the solution accordingly is paramount.

Within the Freight / Transport industry you will come into contact with a wide variety of individuals with differing backgrounds, therefore the ability to adapt and converse on a level is key to success.

The Person:

We are looking for experienced Business Development Managers who have previous experience in either transport, technology or complex solutions sales environments.

It’s important you have a stable track record and can demonstrate consistency against previous sales targets and KPI’s.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and polished to be successful in securing this opportunity.
