As a Business Development Manager you will be selling a range of cable management solutions such as cable insulation, identification, tooling, and connectors into various vertical market sectors such as: Rail infrastructure partners, Rolling Stock OEMs, Tier 1 Automotive manufacturers, and Defence applications. This is a specification led role and your task will be to project manage at the front-end and follow those steps through to getting your product on that particular project. You will be dealing with all levels of stakeholder from Design Engineers through to Procurement at the highest station.

    Business Development Manager

    The Role: Our client are expanding their sales team and are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to cover multiple market verticals including Rail, Defence, and Aerospace sectors across the UK.

    As a Business Development Manager you will be selling a range of cable management solutions such as cable insulation, identification, tooling, and connectors into various vertical market sectors such as: Rail infrastructure partners, Rolling Stock OEMs, Tier 1 Automotive manufacturers, and Defence applications. This is a specification led role and your task will be to project manage at the front-end and follow those steps through to getting your product on that particular project. You will be dealing with all levels of stakeholder from Design Engineers through to Procurement at the highest station.

    This is a varying role as our client’s product has application with everything to do with rail. Whether that’s in a station, on the platform, on the train, or in the overhead wires. The possibilities are endless. As such they are looking for a well-organised, structured, and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to grow in this role and grow their career.

    We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

    • Have a B2B field sales background with a track record of project-based sales processes
    • Understanding of the sales process and specifying product into complex projects
    • Have an eagerness and willingness to learn & develop
    • Coming from an industrial, electrical, manufacturing, or MRO sales environment
    • Professional in approach
    • Full & Clean Driving licence

    Salary: Up to £50,000 basic salary DOE + 15% Annual Bonus + Car + 25 days holiday + pension scheme
