We are excited to be recruiting for a Business Development Manager BDM for one of the best-established names in the R+D Grants and Innovation funding space. This is a new business focused role targeting senior level, financial decision makers in the food and beverage sector. You will be tasked with generating new business leads through your own research as well as handling inbound enquiries. Immediately, this will be a home-based role, where all client meetings are run via video.

The Role: We are excited to be recruiting for a Business Development Manager BDM for one of the best-established names in the R+D Grants and Innovation funding space. This is a new business focused role targeting senior level, financial decision makers in the food and beverage sector. You will be tasked with generating new business leads through your own research as well as handling inbound enquiries. Immediately, this will be a home-based role, where all client meetings are run via video.

However, in the future your job will involve regular face to face meetings on site with clients. You will retain the commercial relationship with any new client you sign, and you can claim commission on their revenue for every year they work with the business. As such, commission grows aggressively with longevity in this role.

This is an excellent role for any motivated and hungry salesperson.

During uncertain times, they have a genuine ability to impact the performance of their clients by helping them to access funds that they may not have known were available to them. You will be joining a well-structured and consistently performing sales team where a number of the BDMs in this role are overachieving against target, and significantly outperforming their OTE.

As the Business Development Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Selling a R+D optimisation service to the food and beverage sector
  • Handling inbound enquiries from new customers
  • Handling the entire deal cycle from lead to close

For this position, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • New business sales experience of at least 3 years
  • Ability to generate, qualify and handle sales leads
  • A hunger and desire to be a part of an aspirational company

Benefits of the Business Development Manager role:

  • Basic salary – £40,000 – £50,000 + travel allowance
  • OTE + £30,000
  • Full flexibility to work from home now and in the future
