As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for winning contracts to collect and recycle waste within any commercial or industrial business. A 100% new business role you will be tasked with generating your own pipeline through mostly door knocking potential clients. With waste you will often be able to see who they are currently using by spotting the logo on the bins outside and therefore face to face door calling works better. You will need to have the patience to build a pipeline as many prospective customers will be in contracts with other suppliers, although you will grab quick wins! Management is supportive and have devised a lucrative monthly commission scheme that allows you to earn off every job you site.

The Company: This organisation is one of the largest independent waste management operators in the North of England. Established for over 30 years and with an annual turnover in excess of £20 million they continue to reinvest profits into developing their operation and services – recycling more waste than ever before. Reinvestment includes recruiting for two Business Development Manager’s to cover growth territories in the Greater Manchester area.

The Role: As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for winning contracts to collect and recycle waste within any commercial or industrial business. The Person: The ideal candidate will have:

· Experience of winning new business in either a b2b or b2c sales environment

· Door knocking experience is desirable but those with the hunger and desire to go out and win business should apply

· Really personable, easy to get on with, down to earth, motivated individuals do well in this business

The Business Development Manager package:

£30 – 35,000 Basic Salary

£55,000 OTE year 1 – uncapped, paid monthly
