The Area Sales Manager will be tasked to push sales of their clients catalogue books across the South West regions garden centres, speaking to a warm account base and where possible/appropriate engaging with the owners and supplying and increasing business within there.

Area Sales Manager – South West (Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire)

Patch – working Wiltshire, Dorset and up to Gloucestershire patch, ideally you will be based in Wiltshire or Dorset.

Negotiable but looking at £35k-40k on the base + commission, car, pension, 25 days holiday and everything required to work a home based/field base position.

The Company:

Working with a horticulture company turning over £6m already within 2 years you will be joining at a fantastic time, due to winning new business and a £2m order book in place for the next 12 months our client is growing in a booming market.

You will represent a select number of distributors covering all things garden related from compost to fire pits and in between.

The Role:

The Person:

You will be a real people person, with a background of proven Account Management and long term relationship building.

This role requires someone diligent, who has the drive and determination to get up on a Monday with a structure and plan and follow it through. There will be an element of physical work as well.

Our client is open on backgrounds of what sold but if you have sold to the customer base that would be hugely beneficial i.e garden centres but if not an FMCG background sold into independents would work well.

Alongside these traits will include:

  • Rapport builder – the role requires you to open doors and build relationships

The Area Sales Managers package will include:
£35,000-£40000 Basic Salary DOE
Commission in place c£5k 1st year
