THE ROLE: As an Area Sales Manager, your time will be equally split between managing existing clients and identifying new business. Your customer base will be window blind manufacturers, where you will typically deal direct with business owners of members of the senior management team.
THE PERSON: Working in an industry where relationships are key, it is vital that you are a great rapport builder and can develop long lasting business partnerships. What you have sold previously isn’t important, however, you will need to come from a strong B2B sales environment. You will also need to be able to demonstrate how you have developed sales regions in previous roles.
