The Company Recruiting for Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment:

Headquartered in Northern Sweden, engcon is the world leading manufacturer of the tiltrotator, a “wrist” for excavators that allows the operator full flexibility, (tilt and rotate), for their attachments or buckets. The family business was founded in 1990, has more than 300 employees and an annual turnover of more than $120 million. Since its establishment, the UK subsidiary has grown and now has a team of 6. To continue this expansion, we are now looking for a highly motivated Area Sales Manager who want to be part of our fast-paced business journey.

The Purpose of the Role of Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment:
Due to ambitious plans for expansion, engcon is searching for an outstanding Area Sales Manager to cover Central and Northern England. Working remotely, you will be tasked with developing and account managing our database of dealers. In addition to generating demand within regional construction contractors, utilities and earth-moving operators and then channelling sales of the tiltrotators through our local dealer network.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance & account manage the network of local dealers
  • Influence prospective customers to equip their fleet of excavators with the engcon tiltrotator system.
  • Identify suitable regional construction contractors and earth-moving operators as potential prospects
  • Demonstrate the benefits of engcon tiltrotator adoption to prospective customers
  • Produce customer quotations for new equipment
  • Follow up on customer enquiries and convert to sales orders
  • Upsell engcon excavator attachments and optional extras
  • Manage the sales and fitting of engcon tiltrotators via a local network of dealers and service partners
  • Meet agreed sales targets and KPIs

For the position of Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Structured approach to sales and excellent influencing skills
  • Proven track record of developing new customers
  • Ideally knowledge of the construction plant or commercial vehicle market
  • Ideally knowledge of the regional construction contractor market
  • Technical sales ability
  • Excellent initiative and able to work independently
  • Must be well presented, dynamic, driven, enthusiastic, articulate and personable
  • Driving licence
  • Good IT & presentation skills – Outlook, Microsoft Office, CRM sytems

Benefits of the Area Sales Manager – Construction Equipment role:

  • £35,000 – £40,000 base salary DOE, plus up to 20% bonus
