The Company: A Global Education Publisher is looking for an instrumental Account Manager to cover an important portfolio across NSW and ACT.
Selling a comprehensive range of content, our client has a strong reputation across Primary Schools.
You will be supported by a dynamic and inspirational leadership team who are passionate about what they do, you will be empowered with the tools to get the job done and encouraged to treat your territory like your own business.
The Role: This is a hybrid role of new business and account management covering Southern NSW and ACT.
You will be focusing on developing partnerships from K-6 dealing with Principals and Teachers across your patch, a typical week would be 5-6 face to face meetings along with prospecting, pipeline management and will encompass regional travel on an as required basis to build relationships with your regional customers.
Liaising with academics daily will be a large part of this role, therefore an element of compassion and excellent communication skills will give you the necessary attributes to work within this price sensitive market.
This will be a very autonomous position and will suit an accomplished time manager who is self-motivated.
The Candidate: The ideal candidate will have sold a product to the education market, preferably primary schools.
You need to have a stable track record and be comfortable working in a very autonomous environment that is based from a home office and requires travel on a monthly basis.
Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite as you will be speaking with contacts that need to be approached carefully, therefore aggressive tactics will not work well.
